Leadership
At Cornerstone Church, we have a plurality of elders, meaning that not just one man is overseeing leadership of our church. The role of elder includes the functions of pastor (shepherd) and overseer. Our four elders shepherd and seek the Lord’s will on behalf of Christ’s people until He returns [1 Peter 5:1-4], a privilege which includes teaching God’s Word, equipping members to do the work of ministry, encouraging love and good deeds, and overseeing the church’s ministries [Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 5:17-22; Titus 1:5-9; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1-5].
