Membership

The church is a new covenant community where people are saved and transformed, and where the glory of Christ shines brightest. 1 Corinthians 12:12, in describing the Church as a “body,” uses the word “member” to describe a person who is a vital part of the church body [“For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ”]. For that reason, a “member” is any Christian who is a vital and active part of the spiritual life of Cornerstone Church, under the care of the pastoral leadership.

How Do I Become A Member?

A person who confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, can testify to being born again by the Holy Spirit, has been baptized, is walking in repentance and faith, and desires to be a vital part of the body of Cornerstone will be considered for membership. Are you interested in becoming a member? Email us below to find out when our next membership class is happening.

Community Groups

Several times throughout the year, we spend a season gathering in small groups to fellowship, share a meal, and discuss the Bible, sermon, or a relevant book/video series. These groups are an essential part of building deep-rooted relationships within the body.

Serving Within the Body

All members are vitally important to the functioning of the body. How can you use your gifts to build up the body? We have opportunities such as prayer groups, volunteering in Sunday School, preparing and cleaning up from the service, serving communion, helping on our hospitality team, and leading worship. If you are a member and haven’t found a place to serve yet, please connect with us!

Youth Activities

We are delighted to offer twice monthly gatherings for our youth; a Kids' After School Bible Club for grades 4-6 and a Breakfast Club for kids in grades 7-12. In both groups, we seek to help kids grow in their knowledge of and love for Jesus and to experience the life-changing transformation of a life rooted in the truth of the gospel. If you know someone who is interested in joining these, get in touch with us below.

Serving Our Community

As we live as followers of Christ within our sphere of influence, we seek to honor Christ in our community, not only in word, but also in deed. Many of our members are serving in their neighborhoods, workplaces, and local organizations. We also serve as a group through a partnership with the local public schools, where we are able to meet some of their needs as a body. How can we equip you to serve and love others in the sphere that God has placed you in?
